HOPE MILLS, N.C., June 24, 2025 — Cinterra, a national leader in electrical infrastructure and utility-scale solar development, announced that Matt Massarelli has joined the company as General Counsel. With a track record of leading legal strategy for some of the most complex and capital-intensive energy projects in the U.S., Massarelli brings deep industry expertise and a business-forward legal approach to the executive team. It’s about helping our teams and projects move forward with clarity, consistency, and confidence,” said Massarelli. “I’m excited to support the delivery of critical energy infrastructure across the country and to contribute to Cinterra’s continued growth in a way that’s grounded in sound judgment, operational alignment, and customer focus.”

He holds a J.D., cum laude, from Case Western Reserve University School of Law and a B.S. in Finance from Miami University.

“Matt’s legal experience and ability to balance business goals with thoughtful counsel will be instrumental as we expand into new markets,” said Shelby Barbier, CEO of Cinterra. “He brings a wealth of legal and operational knowledge from decades of supporting energy and infrastructure projects.
